Author: lilian_cho
Pairing: Adrien Cartwright/Nicholas Goh (Original fiction with Harlequinesque plot)
Rating: PG-13 so far
Word count: Each part is 1.3 ~ 1.5 K each. How many parts will it take to reach the end? I have no idea.
WARNING: Harlequinesque plot. Nicholas likes to crack Chinese jokes*; he has the teeniest bit of self-hating Asian gay guy thing going on.
For my own ease of reading, all drabbles and snippets 150 words and under will not be under an LJ-cut.
A/N: The idea for this story came about when I was lounging in bed remembering the gazillion Harlequin novels I read when I was 14 - 15 y.o. Before I decided on "The Proper-False"*** as a title, I refer to this story as "Chinese waiter dude and East Coast jerkwad." I'll...think up a better summary in time, promise.
For now, this journal will be updated as I write extras and/or sidestories in this 'verse. The main story (currently unbeta-ed) is posted part by part at
holidaysmut. When the last part is written and the whole thing is beta-ed, I'll post the main story on this journal.
Enjoy!
* Y'know, those jokes that are funny when told by a Chinese person. But offensive when told by anon-Chinese person** non-minority person.
** It's funny when told by that Indian Canadian guy.
*** Twelfth Night reference. Because the main plot is about Nicholas pretending to be someone he's not.
